why me?!

Life is the product of a conflict, and living is your ability to exist. Opposites created us, and we have managed over time to carry on because we learned how to find our ways through struggle.

“Why me ?!”… is not just a question in my view. No one of us is free of troubles…. no one of us is perfect.

Perfection is a human desire, but not a human character. “Why me?!”, must always be followed in my view with “why you?!”. It is always you and me in the same wagon, but it is never me versus you.

Creatures managed to maintain life, because they learned how to do it….. they learned the art of existence. Our life is the “end-point” of resistance. We were born to resist in order for us to exist.

You can only walk if you rise against gravity, and you can only survive if you own the means of living. You are a product of a conflict.

We need to find something that we can fight in order for us to win and achieve. Life without achieving a boring  life. Life with no achievements will vanish… it will disappear.

Why “God” wanted us to suffer?. It is a question every one of us must ask own self every morning and every evening…. every time we go to bed, and every time we get out of bed. We need to ask that question and try hard to answer it through logic and common sense.

Those who believe in the existence of God believe that he is the Greatest…. He is the Able. Why then He doesn’t give us what we want?. Why we are – his creatures – allowed to suffer in his Kingdom with his knowledge and awareness?. It could be because of his willing and his planning.

Perfection is not a human character, but it is God’s… why then He – God – failed so far to avoid errors in our creation and faults in our life…. the same life which was created by Him for us to live in?.

Many questions need to be asked, and those been asked need to be answered. We are supposed to think, ponder, wonder, and guess to find an answer, but can we?. Why conflicts exist in our lives and why we are left  struggling to resolve them?. Is it possible for any one of us to be able to resolve life conflicts and antagonists?.

Is it feasible or possible for us humans in the future to be able to live with no troubles…. no illnesses…. no sufferings?.

Yes, this is a futuristic question, and it is a big one, but I can perhaps with confidence answer that question !. We may beat diseases, but we will never beat illnesses, and we will never live no problems and no conflicts. So, shall we despair and give up?.

The responsible answer to such a question is “No”…. never shall weaccept defeat…. we must keep the struggle and aim to win it, in order for us to thrive and exist. If we do at anytime in our lives give up, we will vanish….. disappear. Our existence is the product of a conflict that we win and manage to resist by our “will-being”… our insistence and perseverance.

We need to remember one important wisdom of the Creator…. if you were not exposed to infection , you would never develop a resistance. If you don’t feel hungry, you’ll never appreciate food. If you don’t feel thirsty, you’ll never appreciate water. If you don’t get poor, you’ll never appreciate money. If we haven’t experienced wars and fighting, we would never appreciate peace or work hard to achieve one. If we don’t see others suffering, we will never become compassionate, kind, helpful, and sympathetic… we will never become humble or empathetic.

This is how life was designed, and this is how life will continue until the last day of our existence….. our living era.

I can live with my illness when I see some one else worse than me. God’s life is absolute, but ours is relative, and it’ll remain as such.

I’ll enjoy life because some one else, some where else, for some reason is not. I will smile because some one else has cried. I will appreciate my beauty because some one else looked ugly.

We can modify our destiny, but we can not control it. life was leased to us, but we will never own it.

We will keep struggling , because we have learnt from our previous experience that we must struggle to achieve, and we must think and create to move from A to B. Life is for the “suitable”, and existence is for those who look forward and never give up. Be confident, positive, motivated, and hopeful…. tomorrow will be a different day.

  1. These comments came from Dawn Twilights (not her real name !) on 8 May 2016:
    Hi Mohamed,
Thank you for writing (Why me?), editorial number 8 .
I really enjoyed reading it. I have never really looked at the world from that perspective before and it has brought up lots of interesting questions in my mind. One of them being ‘what should our response be to suffering?’
Like you say, life for any one of us is full of struggles battles, difficulties and illnesses. There is not one individual that I know who does not have their own story of pain, struggle, heartache or disappointments.
If we look back at our own journey we can probably see how such experiences have shaped and moulded our character and changed the direction of our lives, hopefully for the better in the end. That is if we can accept that life is a journey of hills and valleys, and that not one of us is immune to pain and suffering.
The question for some is ‘where is God in those painful moments?’. In our darkest moments in life we can feel like heaven is silent…. but it is in those moments that God is walking beside us, in the tears, the questions, the frustrations. We can look back on our lives and it can seem like such a mess …..but if we look closely enough we can always find God in the smaller details of the experience.
It reminds me of a song written by a beautiful singer called Laura story.. Called blessings. She wrote this at a time in her life when her husband had just been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and was searching for the same answer.

So I have an illness ……. No one has a cure… No one knows why it happens…and I can live my life with fears, worries, if, buts and maybes… But no one knows what my journey is going to be, except God. So I have a choice to make … It can make me a bitter or better person!
I feel blessed that It hasn’t affected me too badly but the diagnosis has been a journey of significant loss in many ways.
Would my journey in life have been different if I hadn’t been diagnosed? ‘Yes….but I wouldn’t be where I am today and I would never exchange that.
I can wrestle with the what if’s and but’s of those losses but I have to ask do I want those experiences to make me bitter or a better person?. We all have regrets in this life but we have to learn to forgive ourselves and move on.
But how do we help those that can’t see through the despair, can’t see the amazing opportunities and life that they still have before them in those moments of greatest disappointment and sorrow. Even if the time we have left is short and one of pain we still have a choice… We can still,in those moments, be the best person we can be.

  2. Everyday is a life lesson. Everyday we download experiences, good and bad, into our databanks to grow and learn. As a result, the human species develops ( all be it slowly)!

Then comes the day we have learned all our lessons in this life (in this body) and will return from whence we came (the other realm, heaven, spirit… whatever you want to call it). We will down load all these lessons into the greater consciousness.

Life can be very painful and difficult…. But these life lessons are what slowly progresses our consciousness and so as a result, the human race.

    1. Thanks Nikki for sharing your thoughts and deep feelings with the readers of this website.
I have watched your two videos with a lot of interest, and I do salute your courage and ability to talk about your experience of losing a child and your own way of coping with that great loss.
I can only say in this context that life is a one way journey, and a one ticket moving train. The life train will never return, and will only move forwards. You need to be in that train, and you need to enjoy every bit of the life journey even though you knew in advance that the life journey is not always as you have wished or you have desired. It is meant to be that way, and the purpose of that only few people can see and can appreciate.
